Adda Marie Jenks
Adda Marie Jenks, 85, former resident of Marietta passed away at 12:46am, Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at Lebanon, Ohio. She was born April 18, 1930, in Washington County, Ohio, to Orion and Adda P. Hutchison Ward. Adda was a homemaker and a member of Gilman United Methodist Church. On August 20, 1955, she married Freemont “Jerry” Jenks who preceded her in death on January 16, 1995.
Adda is survived by 2 sons and 2 daughters: Debra (Don) Schauer of Lebanon, Jerry (Kathy) Jenks of Marietta, Roselyn (Daniel) Dickson of Vincent, Scott (Melissa) Jenks of Lower Salem; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren. Also surviving are 3 sisters and 3 brothers: Ruth Lovett, Margie Blair, Nancy Rush, Robert Ward, Tom Ward, Jerry Ward and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her sister Mary Burns.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday (Jan. 23) at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Reverend Rex Cox officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park. Family will greet friends after 2:00 pm on Friday. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
