Avis M. Snyder

Avis M. Snyder, 97, of Marietta passed away at 10:30pm, Monday, May 9, 2016, at Harmar Place. She was born in Marietta on June 21, 1919, a daughter of Adam Edward and Martha Smith Barth. She was a member of Marietta Bible Center and was a homemaker.

On November 4, 1940, she married George M. Snyder who preceded her in death March 1, 1986. She is survived by 2 sons and 2 daughters: William Snyder, Martha Nicholson, Kenneth (Cheryl) Snyder all of Marietta, Janet (Roy) Dailey of Gallipolis; 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Friday (May 13) at 11:00am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial following at East Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
