Berkley Burl Perry

Berkley Burl Perry, 89, of Lowell passed away at 11:56am, Monday, June 20, 2016, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born November 16, 1926, in Lowell to Lola Lee Parsons Perry and John Quincy Perry. 

He was employed until his retirement at Demuth Glass Plant in Vienna.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WWII, was a member of American Legion Post 750 in Lowell, was a life member of VFW Post 5108 in Marietta, and a member of Whipple Baptist Church.  He enjoyed woodworking.
 
On July 7, 1946, he married Dulcie Naomi Newlon who preceded him in death on November 16, 2002.
Berkley is survived by 2 sons and 2 daughters:  Terry A. Perry of Lowell, Eddy D. (Amy) Perry of Millersburg, OH, Kathy West of Lowell, Rita V. (Thomas) Schultheis of Marietta; 7 grandchildren:  Kelly Marie Ryan, Heather Chidester, Theresa Sandy, Marci Perry Carver, Mitchell Perry, Sarah Perry, Tori Perry a number of great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Burl Duaine, daughter Teresa, granddaughter Staci Perry, brothers:  Woodrow, Drexel, Edward, John Jr., Howard, Romeo, Ellis, and Genesee Perry; and sister Wilda Baker.
 
Funeral services will be held on Friday (June 24) at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Mitchell Perry officiating.  Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Lowell with full military honors.  Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8.  Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
