Betty Jane Williams
Betty Jane Williams, aged 75, of Macksburg, OH (December 8, 1938 – July 26, 2014), was born to Anna Edith (Cline) Williams and Jacob Wilson Williams, who are deceased. She died of a short illness at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
Betty was a graduate of Marietta High School, class of 1957. She was a member of the Stitch and Chatter Quilt Club, the Laurel Grange #1678, and Pomona Grange #9. She was active participant of the O'Neil Center playing Bingo and Chair Volleyball. She attended Dungannon United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one sister; Mary Frances (Williams) Stark, whom she lived with for many years; and a brother; James Armstrong,
She was loved and will be dearly missed by her special nieces, L Catherine (David) Barnhouse, Carolyn S. Stark (James Risher), Christine F. (Gerald) Gerst, and Betty Jean (Thomas) Schenkel, her great nephews and nieces, David (Tracy) Barnhouse, William C Barnhouse (Kate Murray), Amanda Barnhouse, Gerald (Sandy) Gerst, Heather (David) Clark, Benjamin Gerst (Misty Serdy), Partick Gerst ( Marla Wiley), Thomas Schenkel (Ashlynn McQuilkin), and Timothy Schenkel and great, great nieces and nephews, She had many other nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by one brother; Charles Edward Williams.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday (July 31) at 10:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Porter officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Township Cemetery.
