Betty Jean Schau
Betty Jean Abicht Schau, 84, of Marietta passed away on Friday, May 21, 2010, at the residence of David and Gloria Simpson with whom she made her home.
She was born on May 2, 1926, in Marietta a daughter of Carl Abicht and Bernice Dixon Abicht. Jean was a homemaker.
On July 5, 1944, she married Lester Schau who preceded her in death in July, 1996. She is survived by her 2 sons: Rick (Linda) Schau of Wakeman, OH and Kevin (and fiancee Tina Harlow) Schau of Norwalk, OH, 4 grandchildren, Lisa (Ed) Griffiths, Amy (Jim) Kelly, Kevin Schau,Jr. and Nicole Schau, 3 great grandchildren: Jackson, Molly, Madison, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by special friend Jim Simpson, brother Denver Abicht and sister Clara Montagnese.
Private memorial services will be held at the convenience of her family.
