Betty Louise Doan

Betty Louise Doan, 91, went to join her family from Harmar Place on September 18, 2017. She was born in Massillon, OH on July 13, 1926 to the late Carl L Rose and Georgette R. Clay Zura.

Betty had worked in the cafeteria for Marietta City Schools and at Warren’s IGA. She loved to cook and sew making quilts for her children and grandchildren. She also loved to spend special time with each one of her grandchildren. Betty also loved to set on her back porch and watch the birds and talk with her neighbors especially Linda Lewis.

She was a life member to VFW #5108 Auxiliary and a past president, also a member of MOCA#63 and a past president. She was a member of Norwood United Methodist Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Beth Tullius (Al Walbert), Becky Cline (Tony) and Judy Jeffers (Roger) all of Marietta. Grandchildren, Randal Snyder (Julie), Kenneth Rusty Tullius (Crystal), Tammy Carey (Drew), Jennifer Davis and Scott Davis. Step-Grand-Children Brian Jeffers and Teresa Jeffers. Six great grandchildren and several step-great grandchildren. Sister Georgette Dion (Ted) from Bethany, OK and Sister-in-Law June Rose and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Russell D. Doan and Brother Jim Rose.
