Billy Keith Payne, Sr.
Billy Keith Payne, Sr., 79, of Marietta passed away 11:55am, Sunday, July 2, 2017, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born in Dart, Ohio, on June 30, 1938 to George and Fern Whetstone Payne.
Billy had been employed as a truck driver, was a former member of Soul’s Harbor Baptist Church and the Washington County Fair Board.
He is survived by 2 sons and 1 daughter, Tracy (Colleen) Payne of Belpre, Michelle (Terry) Antill of Ft. Mill, SC, Billy (Jenny) Payne, Jr. of Rock Hill, SC; 6 grandchildren: Chris, Travis, TJ, Danielle, Tre`, Tanner and 2 great grandchildren. Also surviving are 2 sisters, Joretta Reynolds and Dolly Smith and longtime companion and care giver, Melanie Tidd and her 2 children, Kristen (Kayla) Nichols, Keith (Andrew) Tidd.
He was preceded in death by his parents, former wife Wanda Schmidt, grandson Ryan, brothers Everett and Bob; sisters: Waldine, Grace, Eloise, Mary Lou.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday (July 6) at 4:00pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home. Family will greet friends before the service from 2 until 4. There will be no graveside service. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
