Carolyn Douglas

D. Carolyn Douglas, 68, of Marietta passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at her home.

She was born April 5, 1948 in Marietta to the late John and Dorothy (Mendenhall) Edgar. She was the previous clerk of Independence Township and a member of Lawrence Baptist Church. Carolyn was a 1966 graduate of Lawrence High School.

On July 2, 1966 she married James E. Douglas who preceded her in death on November 1, 2008.

Surviving are a son Michael (Barbara) Douglas of Marietta, granddaughters Manda Douglas (Robert Rouse) and Michaela Douglas and a sister Ann (Tim) Carrothers.

Funeral services will be held 10 am Saturday at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Newport Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 pm Friday with the family present from 2-4 and 6-8. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
