Charles Barth

Charles Barth, 94, of Marietta, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2014, at 12:15 am at The Arbors.  He was born on April 5, 1920, in Germantown, Ohio, a son of George and Catherine Wagner Barth. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and was stationed in the Philippines.  He retired after 55 years from Richardson Printing and was a member of American Legion Post 64 and a long time member of the Hills United Methodist Church.

On October 13, 1964, he married Florence Irene Dye who preceded him in death on July 12, 2004. 

Carles is survived by their daughter Cindi Barth Gerst of Marietta and close friends Roger and Linda Pugh.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by brothers, Clarence and Virgil Barth; sisters, Gertrude Weinstock and Alberta Patterson and 2 infant sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday (Sept. 18) at 2:00 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Reverend James Porter officiating.
