Cyril L. Wilson
Cyril L. Wilson, 87, of Marietta passed away at 12:05pm, Friday, February 24, 2017, at Beverly, Ohio. He was born October 3, 1929, in Honesty, Ohio to Cyril and Gladys Dixon Wilson.
Cyril retired from Elkem as a pipe fitter. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean conflict. Cyril was a member of Marietta Baptist Temple and the Lower Muskingum Historical Society.
On October 28, 1950, he married Betty Neuberger who preceded him in death on February 26, 2011.
Two daughters survive: Marsha (Roger) Quimby of Beverly and Debbie Morrison of Marietta; 4 grandchildren: Laura (Joseph) Schott of Waterford, Joshua (Amber) Quimby of Churchtown, Elizabeth (Steve) Lambert of Chesapeake, OH, Christopher (Leslie) Morrison of Chicago, IL; 8 great grandchildren: Chase and Olivia Schott, Reese, KeAndra and Easton Quimby, Caleb Boersma, Audrey and Connor Schnell; 2 brothers-in-law Herman (Helen) Neuberger of Tennessee and Charles (Helen) Newberger of Lowell and sister-in-law Doris Coleman of Marietta.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, stepfather Cloyd Harper, infant grandson and son-in-law Ernie Morrison.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday (Feb. 28) at 11:00am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Don E. Teubert officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Township Cemetery.
