Dale Edward Wagner passed away at his home on Thursday, December 14, 2017.
He was born to Gilbert Edward and Lydia Jeanette Baker Wagner on December 15, 1929 at Marietta, Ohio.   He graduated from Marietta High School in 1947 and was a veteran of the Korean War worked in the public for many years at Mahone Tire Service, Owner of Pure Oil Gas Station, State of Ohio and retired from City of Marietta. Dale was a recipient of the Gabe Zide Citizen of the Year and a Marietta Civitan of the Year. After retirement Dale worked for McDonalds on Glendale as a morning greeter. He and his wife (Raoma) owned and operated the Plaza Gift Shop, Front St., Marietta, where they greeted the public daily for several years. He was a member of Norwood United Methodist Church since 1954 and member and past President of Marietta Civitan Club. Dale was instrumental in helping get the Cisler Park developed while a Civitan member. He was on the first Halloween on The Levee committee when it started while working for City of Marietta. Dale played in many softball leagues and coached many years for Marietta Bantam League Baseball for his sons. He loved traveling with his wife, especially to Nashville (Fanfare) to enjoy the music of their favorite country music artists. He enjoyed golf and was an avid OSU Buckeye fan.
He married his high school sweetheart (Raoma Jean Schultheis Wagner) on September 2, 1950. He is survived by his children: Kathy Jean (Mark) Bartlett, Mike E. (Tammy) Wagner and Dale R. (Sonja) Wagner.
Grandchildren: Mitchell D. Wagner (Emily), Christa Holman (Shannon), Maridith Wagner, Jenna Boley (Ryan). Rylee Wagner (fiancé Matthew Harper), Kellyn Leverett (Zach), Avery Wood (Elias), and Chris Ley (Megan).
Great Grandchildren: Ava, Lex, Maddie and Logan Wagner, Ayden and Coen Holman, Kallie Boley, Kolbie Harper, Audrey Leverett, Raynie Wood and Hannah Ley.
Also, survived by his brother, Calvin E. Wagner (Sue), sister-in-law Martha Lang and many nieces, nephews and very good friend, Don Harris 
He was preceded in death by wife, Raoma, a grandson Elliot Ley, sisters Alice Schafer, Ruth Carver, brother-in-laws Ralph Schultheis, Harry Krauss, Richard Kelley, and Gerald Lang, and sister-in-laws, Evelyn Kelley and Wilma Krauss.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 19 at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home, with burial in East Lawn Memorial Park. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday morning before the service from 9-11 a.m.  Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com
