Don C. Sillaman

Don C. Sillaman, Jr. 78, of Reno went to meet his heavenly Father,  Saturday, December 10, 2016, at his home.  He was born December 16, 1937, in Greensburg, PA, to Reverend Don C. Sillaman and Reverend Edith Rayan Sillaman.

Don retired from Kardex as a painter after 37 years of service.  Upon retirement, he was employed at Fellowship Home in Parkersburg.  Don was a member of AA for 35 years celebrating his sobriety one day at a time.  He was a co-founder of The Meeting on the River.
 
He is survived by 5 sons and 1 daughter:  Don C. Sillaman III of Marietta, “his favorite daughter” Cheryl (Craig) Wharff of Marietta, Kevin O. (Davonna) Sillaman of Franklin, OH, Matthew G. Sillaman of Delaware, OH, Jason M. (Ella M.) Sillaman of Newport, Michael A. (Maribeth) Sillaman of Parkersburg; 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; 3 brothers and one sister:  Al B. (Helen), Dennis W. (Lois) and Tim P. (Robin) Sillaman and Deborah A. Sillaman and many nieces and nephews.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Judith N. Sillaman and brother Allen B. Sillaman, Jr.
 
A memorial service is planned for 3:00pm on Friday (Dec. 16) at Sandhill United Methodist Church in Reno.  Food and fellowship will follow the service.  McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home is assisting the family and messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
