Dorothy Chewning

Dorothy Chewning, of Williamstown passed away2:25 pm Tuesday December 2, 2014 at the Arbors at Marietta.

She was born in Jackson Co., West Virginia to James and Nellie (Wilcox) Miller and had been employed with B.F. Goodrich at Akron before moving to the Marietta plant. Dorothy was married to Robert “Herb” Chewning who preceded her in death on December 5, 1975.

Surviving is her daughter Kimberlee Legg (Richard) of Vienna and grandchildren David Gwin (Casey), Jen Theissen (Craig) and Jason Moss and a sister Violet Gilliand of Boaz.

In addition to her parents and her husband, a daughter Sandra Moss, for brothers Oral, Alwin, Ross and James Miller and sisters Eva Collins and Leatha Williamson, preceded Dorothy in death.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Friday December 5th at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Mason officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 8 pm. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
