Douglas Rex Huffman
Douglas Rex Huffman, 62, of Marietta, Ohio, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2015, at Marietta Memorial Hospital after a vehicle accident.
He was born February 19, 1953 to the late Albert and Barbara Anderson Huffman. His hobbies were long drive golfing, car racing, watching Ohio State football, and cooking for family gatherings. He enjoyed watching his grandson, Josh, play sports. He had a passion for spending time and traveling with his fiancé Karen.
He was currently employed with Control Systems Instrumentation as a senior Control System Engineer/Instrumentation Supervisor. He graduated from Marietta High School in 1971.
He is survived by his fiancé Karen Strahler, who was his best friend and soul mate, of Marietta, his daughter Molly Wilcox of Parkersburg, his son Jared Huffman of Watertown and grandson Joshua Huffman. He is also survived by his extended family of children, Kari (Rusty) Caldwell of Waterford, Traci (Dave) Chichester of Lowell, Troy (Terri) Strahler of Watertown, and Dustin (Amy) Strahler of Marietta, (9) grandchildren and (4) great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 am, Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at
McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Thomas officiating. Friends may call beginning 2 pm Monday at the funeral home with the family present from 2-4 and 6-8. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
