Eileen Swaney
Eileen Swaney, 91, of Marietta passed away on Friday morning, April 11, 2014, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 19, 1922, in Marietta a daughter of Clarence E. and Dinah Long Moore. Eileen was a homemaker and a member of Wagner Union Church. She loved to cook, bake and have family in for meals and never turned anyone away who needed help.
On April 16, 1941, she married Gerald Swaney who preceded her in death on April 27, 2011.
Eileen is survived by 4 children: Randy (Janet) Swaney of Marietta, Diane Spindler of Marietta, Geraldine (Tom) Swaney Yakubik of Barlow and James P. (Lori) Swaney of Marietta, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, her brother Dean Moore, several nieces, nephews and 2 sisters-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers: Harry, Kenneth and Dale Moore and son-in-law Richard Spindler.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday (Apr. 15) at 10:00 am at Wagner Union Church with Gene Ferrell officiating. Entombment will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.
