Ervin Dale Best

Ervin Dale Best, 73, of Marietta passed away at 8:55pm, May 6, 2015 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born November 18, 1941, in Whipple to Ervin Earl and Erma Martin Best. He had been employed at Cytec Industries as an electronic instrument mechanic. Ervin was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was Apostolic by faith.

He married Gloria “Jean” Leasure who survives with one son, Ervin Dale Best, Jr. of Marietta; brother William Best of Newport, sister Mary Grosklos of Devola, several nieces and nephews and special dog friend “Ruger.”

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Mark Best and 2 sisters, Chloeva Theis and Iona Fay Carpiax.

Funeral services will be held on Monday (May 11) at 1:00pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Melvin Adams officiating.
