Esther Louise Hooper
Esther Louise Hooper, 91, of Belpre, passed away at 4:40am, Monday, July 13, 2015, at Heartland of Marietta. She was born September 27, 1923, in Dunham Township, OH, a daughter of Jacob and Mary Francis Koon. Louise was a cook for various area restaurants. She was a member of Cutler Chapel Church.
On August 20, 1947, she married Robert L. Hooper who preceded her in death October 1, 1969.
Louise is survived by 3 sons and 1 daughter: Diane Welch of Vincent, Larry (Joyce) Koon of Marietta, Robert L. (Cindy) Hooper, II of Marietta, John (Patty) Hooper of Belpre; 9 grandchildren: Stephen Welch, Michele Reynolds, Valarie Wright, Matt Koon, Lucinda Parker, Bobby Hooper, Angie Augenstein, Tyson Hill, Jessica Tate and a number of great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 sisters Glendora Johnson and Shirley Carter both of Marietta.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 grandsons, Johnny Hooper, Jr. and Jason Hill, son-in-law Gale Welch and brothers and sisters: Robert, Richard, Lester, William and Carroll Koon Eileen Kidder, Betty Schau, Ruth Friend, Leona Koon.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday (July 16) at 11:00am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Eaton officiating. Burial will be in Barlow Cemetery.
