Eunice Marcelle Duncan

Eunice Marcelle (Wagner) Duncan, of Royston, Georgia, (formerly of Marion Street and Glendale Road, Marietta, Ohio), went to be with her Lord on Saturday, April 8, 2017.
 
She was born on April 24th, 1927, to Perley H. and Cuma E. Metcalf Wagner at Watertown, Ohio.
 
She graduated from Waterford High School, with the 'Class of 1945'. Following graduation, she worked for the War Department in Washington, DC. She was later employed as a teletype operator for the Standard Oil Company in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She also worked for WLW – TV – Radio Station in Cincinnati, Ohio.
 
After moving back to Marietta, she worked as a cashier for the Big Bear Supermarket and retired from Big Bear in 1997, after thirty years of service.
 
She married Leonard LeRoy Duncan on April 24, 1948. He preceded her in death on July 23, 1991.
 
Surviving are two sons; Douglas Leonard Duncan (Valerie) of Royston, GA, and Dennis LeRoy Duncan (Connie), of Royston, GA; a granddaughter, Erika Faith Duncan Acosta (Agustin, IV), also of Royston, GA; and a number of nieces and nephews.
 
Preceding her in death were two brothers, Second Lieutenant, Melvin H. Wagner, a pilot killed in WWII, Wilmer Dow Wagner of Marietta, Ohio; and one sister, Reta M. Schott of Waterford, Ohio.
 
Eunice was a Christian Lady who loved her Lord, loved people, and loved beautiful music.
 
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 14, at 10:30 AM at McClure-Schaffer-Lankford Funeral Home. Visiting hours will be Thursday, April 13, from 7:00-8:30 PM.  Burial will be in the Watertown Cemetery following the funeral service.  Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
