George C. Miller
George C. Miller, 66, of Marietta Ohio, passed away Sunday 23 March 2014. He was born on 26 November 1947, grew up in Texas, and graduated from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas. George was a Vietnam Veteran and went on to serve his country as an officer in the U.S. Army retiring at the rank of Major. His awards and decorations were numerous and included the Legion of Merit and the Combat Infantryman Badge. George enjoyed sailing and working on cars but his #1 hobby was spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his Wife Sherrie; Daughter Jade Sturek and Husband Wally of Glen Allen, Virginia; Son Matthew Miller and Wife Mary of Freeland, Washington; Grandchildren Chip and Paige Sturek of Glen Allen, Virginia; Sister Joann Williams and Husband Larry of Glen Rose, Texas; and Sister Janie Hagerman and Husband Terry of Leander, Texas.
