George N. Duffey
George N. Duffey, 77, of Lowell passed away on Monday, November 9, 2015, at The Arbors of Marietta surrounded by family and friends. He was born October 26, 1938, in Bellaire, OH, a son of the late George W. and Isa Mae Krowser Duffey.
George served in the Army and Navy and was a Vietnam veteran. He enjoyed John Wayne movies and Peanuts Gang and really enjoyed his grandchildren and his great grandchildren. After his military career, he was employed as a security guard.
He married Charlotte Burns who preceded him in death. George is survived by his children; Deidra (Eddie) Oliver, Betty J. Duffey and Clyde E. Duffey, his sister Betty Schoolcraft, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and his special pal “Taco.” He later married Lynn Davidson who also preceded him in death.
Several brothers, sisters and special brother-in-law Earl Sayres also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday (Nov. 12) at 2:00pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial following in Oak Grove Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
