Gladys Ruth Harris
Gladys Ruth Harris, 99, of Marietta passed away at 10:43 pm, Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at Hannah’s House.
She was born July 10, 1918, in Wetzel County, WV, a daughter of William and Rachel Powell Riggenbach. Gladys was a member of Putnam Congregational Church and had been employed as a cashier at Big Bear Store.
On August 30, 1939, she married Edward Harris who preceded her in death on October 10, 2006. Her daughter, Judy (Ron) Wagner, survives with 2 grandchildren, Kevin (Lisa) Wagner and Knoda (Neil) Wynn and 2 great grandchildren, Randy Wynn and Katie Wagner. She is the last surviving member of her brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Monday (Nov. 20) at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with interment following in Putnam Cemetery. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
