Grace Foreman Carder Webb

Grace Foreman Carder Webb, 98, of Marietta the last surviving member of her family, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014, at 9:35 pm at her home.  She was born on November 30, 1916, in Williamstown, WV, a daughter of Edward M. and Mary Virginia Hendricks Foreman.

She was a graduate of Williamstown High School, Class of 1934 and was a member of First Baptist Church in Marietta since 1950.  She was active in the church being a member of Debra Mullenix Circle, Adult Fellowship Class and Knit for Kids.

 Grace was married to Foster R. Carder who passed away in 1962 and to Denver “Denny” Webb who passed away in 2005.

Grace is survived by 2 stepdaughters, Sue Ellen Webb Spindle of Madison, AL and Connie Louise Webb Eanes of Greensboro, NC; 4 step-grandchildren:  Linda Golden of Greensboro, Jim Eanes of Maryville, TN, Nicole Spindle of Huntsville, AL and Jullian Spindle of Oakland, CA and 4 cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and brother Alva F. Foreman.

 The family would like to extend a special thanks to First Baptist Church and to Hospice for taking such good care of Grace.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday (Dec. 31) at First Baptist Church with Pastor Chad Mugrage officiating.  Friends may call on Tuesday (Dec. 30) from 4:00 until 7:00 at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home and at the church one hour before the service.  Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
