Helen E. Stevens
Helen E. Stevens, 92, of Marietta passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 23, 2016, at 12:01am. She was born June 4, 1924, in Yankeeburg, OH, a daughter of the late Ada M. Pool Law.
Helen graduated from Marietta High School in 1942. She worked for accountants Shoop, Wark and Cullen for 21 years. She was office supervisor at J.C. Penney Company for 22 years and retired December 1985. Helen was a member of Norwood United Methodist Church and will be greatly missed by friends and family.
She married the love of her life Elmer Stevens on May 11, 1949. They had 33 wonderful years together. Elmer died December 15, 1987. She was loved many including her friends at The Pines of Glenwood. Thanks to all the care givers that made her feel safe and well cared for.
She is survived by cousins Sandra Williams, Carol Bickel and Linda Knott.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 27, at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial following in East Lawn Memorial Park.
