Jeanne Frances Offenberger

Jeanne Frances Offenberger passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Harmar Place of Marietta, Ohio

She was born on August 21, 1922 in the Churchtown area to Federick Elton and Hattie Charlotte Weihl Beebe. She was a member of The Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption church. She loved country music and dancing. She was known for her quick wit and her jokes. 
 
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Francis Offenberger who she married on her 18th birthday.
 
She is survived by two sons, Danny and his wife Karen and David and his wife Priscilla. She had seven grandchildren and their families, Kristy (Michael) Easton, Seth Offenberger, Jill (Jamey) Barnes and Andy (Sarah) Offenberger, Maschil (Aubrey) Booth, Denise Offenberger, and Chanin Hawkins. She also is survived by twelve great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren. Also, by three sisters-in-law Winified Strauss, Frances Farley, and Hester Offenberger. She was godmother to Anna McCarthy.
 
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold and Denver Beebe and an infant; and five sisters: Clelan Markley, Oneida Casto, Martha Henry, Garnet Bosner, and an infant. Also, an infant grandson Daren Michael Offenberger preceded her in death.
 
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am Friday July 3rd at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption with Msgr. Michael Campbell as celebrant.   Burial will follow at the Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery in Lowell. The family will greet friends beginning at 2 pm Thursday at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with the family present from 2-4 and 6-8. The rosary will be recited at 3pm.  Messages of sympathy may be sent www.Lankfordfh.com. 
 
Dinner will be served in the social hall of The Basilica following the services.
 
The family would like to thank the nurses and aides at Harmar Place for their excellent care. (Especially Tony and John who made her laugh)
