Jeffrey R. Benson
Jeffrey R. Benson, 69, of Wingett Run, Ohio died at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus on Thursday April 13th, 2017. He was born November 6th, 1947, in Jamestown, New York, a son of Phyllis E. (Patterson) and the late Harmon Richard Benson.
On July 4th, 1970, he was married to Mary A. (Hayes) Benson who passed away in 2006. He was a retired fiscal auditor for the State of Ohio, appointed by Governor Celeste to oversee checks and balances for the Job Training Partnership Act Program. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, the outdoors, and his pets. He is survived by one son, Mark R. Benson (Wendy) of Columbus, Ohio, and one daughter, Kimberly A. Bradley (Gerry) of Louisville, Kentucky and grandchildren Liam Benson, Alec Benson, Sean Bradley, Owen Bradley, Kieran Bradley, Colin Bradley, Aidan Bradley, two brothers and one sister Greg (Chris) Benson, Mike (Barb) Benson, Carol Teer, and one niece, Aubrey Teer.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday April 18th, at the McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
