Jennifer Thompson

Jennifer Thompson, 42, of Stafford passed away after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, January 20,2015 at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

She was born March 15, 1972 in Marietta to the late James E. Thompson and Claire (Day) Thompson.  Jen was a 1990 graduate of Skyvue High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Marietta College and Master’s Degree from Wright State University.  She had been employed at the Department of the Treasury in Parkersburg in the bonds department.
 
In addition to her mother and friend Herman Zerger of Woodsfield, Jen is survived by a sister Kelly (Thomas) Camden of Marietta and niece Stephanie Camden.  Special aunts Hazel Day of Stafford and Susan Day of Woodsfield and special cousins Chris (Robin) Day of Woodsfield, Kimberly (Donovan) Masteller-Dodrill of Kansas City and Larry (Kathy) Thompson of Tuscaloosa and many uncles and cousins also survive.
 
The family wishes to express their appreciation to the many doctors and staff at the University of Pittsburgh for their compassion and care of Jennifer throughout her illness and stay with them.
 
According to her wishes she was cremated and a private service will be held at the convenience of the family.  McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home is assisting the family.
