Joanne Staats

Joanne Staats, 68, of Marietta passed away at her home Friday, April 10, 2015 at 3:00 am. She was born in Marietta on July 1, 1946, to Franklin C. Williams and Edna V. Minor Williams. Joanne had owned and operated West View Inn and had worked at the New Mecca Restaurant, Betsey Mills Club and Marietta College and also drove a taxi cab.

She married Robert Wayne Wood who preceded her in death. Joanne is survived by 3 sons: Paul M. Staats of Marietta, Richard L. (Kathie) Staats of Marietta and Robert H. Staats of Marietta; 3 grandchildren: Alissa, Bradley and Brandi Staats and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister Rosemary Rector.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday (April 14) at 1:00 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial following in Oak Grove Cemetery.
