Lawrence E. Ash
Lawrence E. Ash, 93, of Meadow Lane died Saturday morning (January 17, 2015) at his home. He was born on March 20, 1921 to F.J. and Winifred (Shutts) Ash in Marietta, Ohio.
He retired from Lincoln Electric in Euclid, Ohio and returned to Marietta in 1999. He is a member of the Church of Christ at Warner, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Elizabeth (Busch) Ash, of 68 years whom he married on January 1, 1947. Also surviving are three children: Floyd Ash of Marietta, OH; Larry Ash of Beckley, WV; Carol (Tim) Berezne of Mentor, OH. Two grandchildren: Kayla and Eric Berezne. Two sisters: Martha (Howard) Hunter and Mary (Keith) Kraner both of Marietta, OH and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Clarence (Virginia) Ash M.D. and Leroy (Mimi) Ash D.D.S., both of Marietta. Four sisters: Dorothy (Earl) Bender of Marietta; Elsie (Forrest) Hanson of Marietta; Virgie (Raymond) Dixon of Waynesfield, OH; and Margaret (Kenneth) Milnor of Pickerington, OH.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 20 at the McClure-Schafer- Lankford Funeral Home. Friends may call from 10:00 am to 2:00 am the day of the service. Burial will be at the East Lawn Cemetery. Messages of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.Lankfordfh.com.
