Lucille Elizabeth Russi
Lucille Elizabeth Russi, 95, died after a brief episode, surrounded by family and friends, at Kimes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Athens, OH early Friday morning February, 20, 2015.
Lucille was born in Bellaire, OH, on September 8, 1919 to William Benjamin Eddy and Anna Elizabeth Gooch Eddy of West Belaire, OH. . Lucille was preceded in death by her husband Lynn Francis Russi. She was the fifth of six children and was preceded in death by, Ellen Eddy, Bertha Eddy, John Eddy, Clarence Eddy, and Verna Eddy Mobley.
Lucille and her husband Lynn both lived in Williamstown, WV, worked for Fenton Art Glass Company and attended the First Methodist Church of Williamstown. Lucille and Lynn were both active in church and community organizations, particularly the MYF and 4-H. Lucille served the Girl Scouts of America as a leader for many years.
Lucille is missed and survived by her daughter Linda Russi Jones, her grandson Todd Jones, his wife, Rebecca Jones, her great grandchildren Hayden Jones, Lynnia Jones, and Charles Hupp, and her great great grandson Jase Hupp. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who adored her and whom she adored. Also surviving is her beloved miniature pincer, Joy.
Lucille will always be remembered for her gracious hospitality and her pure selfless love of caring for friends and family.
Funeral services will be held at the McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home Tuesday, February 24th at 2:30. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday evening from 6 P.M. until 8:00 P.M Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
