M. Guelda Wigal
M. Guelda Wigal of Belpre, Ohio crossed over to be with the Lord on April 12, 2012.
Guelda was the daughter of Amuel and Maysel M. Drake Noland born in Washington County. Guelda attended the Greenhill School Constitution, Oh, and Marietta high school.
On June 22,1946, she married John A. Wigal Sr., together for 63 years until his passing July 29,2009. Guelda was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Marietta. She worked at S.S. Kresge',s, Montgomery Ward Department Store and for Marietta College at Sophie Russell Hall. Guelda was a member of and twice past Worthy Matron of Marietta Chapter #59 Ohio Eastern star, past Worthy High Priestess of White Shrine #t2 of Marietta, and a delegate for the state of Ohio.
She is survived by brother Bud Noland; her children, John A. (Weegie) Wigal Jr., of Vincent, and her daughter, Kathy L. Wigal-Rezabek who lived with her momma and lovingly cared of her. Grandchildren: Ricky D. (Jana) Joseph of Newport, Brian D. Joseph and his partner Dennis Lumbatis of Reno, Jeffrey D. (Shannon) Joseph of Parkersburg, Jennifer L. Wigal of Marietta; and Laura (Nehi) Copeland of Stewart, OH, Robert (Hollie) Ellis, of Marietta; and Linda (Eric) Grady, Grafton, WV and Anna Gill, also survive with great-grandchildren : Alexander D. Joseph, Braeyn J. Joseph, Brynlee M. Joseph, Nicholas Fowler, Breanna Keffer and R.J. and Maddie Ellis, Allison, Tyler, Katilyn Grady , and several nephews and nieces, a special nephew Rick Noland, and special niece Susie (Fred) Gibson, her former daughter-in-law Winifred (Rodney) Gill and loving neighbors, Lee and Linda Shutts, of Belpre.
Guelda was preceded in death by her parents, Husband and an infant sister, Shirley Jean.
She found great joy in her life through the Lord, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and Pretty Girl and Daisy Mae, her Pets.
Funeral services will be 1 pm Sunday, April 15th at McClure -Schafer -Lankford funeral home. Visitation will begin 2 pm Friday with the family present from 2 to 6 pm Friday and on Saturday Noon to 6 pm. Eastern Star Chapter #59 will conduct a service 7 pm Saturday and service for the White Shrine of Jerusalem Marietta Chapter #12 will follow at 7:30 pm.
