Paul V. Wamsley
Paul V. Wamsley lost his battle to cancer March 11, 2016 at the Marietta Center. He was born at Point Pleasant , WV on November 7, 1934 to Virgil and Wilma Grinstead Wamsley. After serving in the US Army from 1959 to 1961 Paul traveled through 43 states and Canada, while enjoying the open road as truck driver.
Paul is a charter member of Living Faith United Methodist Church in Vincent and was a member of Belpre Masonic Lodge #609.
He was married to Rosemary Oiler from 1955 until her death in 1999. Their 2 infant children proceeded Paul in death also.
On September 16, 2000, Paul married Patsy Stalnaker who survives with his bonus family Lisa (Bill) Wolfe, Mark Stalnaker and Suzanne (Ryan) Dennis. Also surviving are grandsons Kristopher (Lindsey) Wolfe, Kyler and Seth Dennis, great grand daughter Madison Wolfe sisters Betty Louden, and Nancy Preston and brothers John, Carl and Richard Wamsley along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his first wife and parents Paul was proceeded in death by a sister Phylis Larkins and niece Kristen Wamsley.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held March 19, 2016 at the O’Neill Senior Center, 333 4th St. Marietta, OH at 3 pm with the family greeting friends beginning at 2pm. A dinner will follow after the service.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Paul’s honor to Living Faith United Methodist Church building fund or Cancer Blasters, 6771 St. Rt. 339, Vincent, OH 45784.
