Pauline Roe Hasley

She went home to be with her Heavenly father on Tuesday, January 20, 2015.   She was born, July 10, 1920 on Mt. Tom Rd., near Reno, OH, to George and Jennie (Hill) Roe.  She graduated from Marietta High School, with the class of 1938.
 
On January 27, 1945, she married Ercel Hasley, who proceeded her in death, on February 29, 1988.  They met while both were working for the defense department during WWII at the old Remington Rand Plant, affectionately called “The Propeller." She was a “Rosie the Riveter” and was her mechanic. She attended the Washington County Technical College and obtained acertificate as Licensed Practical Nurse at age 49.  She retired from Marietta Convalescent Center, at age 72. She volunteered with RSVP at the O’Neil Center until after her 90th birthday.  She was a member of Evergreen Bible Church at Reno.  She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and spending time with her family and also traveling with friends.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
 
She is survived by 2 daughters, Nancy (Henry) Lauderman and Susan Wright both of Marietta and a sister Patsy Stalnaker (Paul) Wamsley of Vincent, 19 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents as well as one son, Robert “Bob” Hasley, 3 step-sons:  Lloyd, Larry and Loren Hasley, infant sister Doris, brothers:  Robert and Russell “Pete” Roe and her twin brother Paul and sister Ruth Duncan, grand daughter Laurie Lauderman, 2 great granddaughters, April Bryan and Sarah Cramer, step brother Harold “Bob” McConnell and step sister Frances McConnell Slider.
 
Funeral services will be held on Friday (Jan. 23) at 10:30 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Thibault officiating.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday after 2:00 with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 and before the service on Friday.   Interment will be at Valley Cemetery.  Messages of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.Lankfordfh.com.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to a charity of donor’s choice.
