Peggy Tomlinson Dickman

Peggy Tomlinson Dickman, 77, a long-time resident of Bay Minette, Alabama, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, May 15, 2016 at the home of her daughter in Marietta, Ohio. She suffered with Parkinson’s Disease since being diagnosed in 2006. She was known as “Granny” to many who came to think of her as their own and were blessed by her faithful character and witty personality. Peggy was a member of Twin Rivers Baptist Church. 

She is survived by her daughter, Anita (Rev. Jeff) Baumer of Marietta, and 3 stepsons: Rev. Gary (June) Dickman, Gateswood, AL, Rodney (Peg) Dickman, Butler, PA, Rev. Dale (Mary) Dickman, Ash, NC; 9 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Payton of Screvin, GA, one half sister, Elsie Edwards of  Elberta, AL; one half brother, Jerry Tomlinson of Citronelle, AL; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Malcolm Dickman who passed away February 8, 2007; and a stillborn son, Joshua Evan Dickman, born Aug. 24, 1966.
 
Calling hours will be at Twin Rivers Baptist Church at 110 DAV Road, Whipple, on Thursday, May 19, 2016, with funeral service at 6:00 pm with Pastor Jeff Baumer officiating. Family will greet friends at the church before the service from 4 until 6. A second service will be held in Alabama where interment will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.  McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements and messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
