Phyllis Ann Grimm
Phyllis Ann Grimm, 95, formally of Vienna, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Heartland of Marietta.
She was born January 7, 1921 in Clearfield, PA to Clyde and Myrtle (Kelley) Johnson. Phyllis was a 1939 graduate of Parkersburg High School and studied Home Economics at WVU where she was a member of Alpha Phi. She was a founding member of the YOMALA Club in Vienna and had volunteered at the Vienna Public Library. Phyllis was a stellar homemaker for her husband and 3 children.
On May 30, 1942, Phyllis married Ernest Grimm who survives with their children Penny (Kjell) Hansen of St. Johns, Newfoundland, Canada, Andy (Kate) Grimm of Portland, OR, and Susie Sims (Tom) of Las Vegas, NV. Also surviving are grandchildren: Noah Hansen, Nell Flynn, Peter Grimm, Andrew Coley, Jonathan Grimm, Jerzy Wasilewski and Marissa Kuo and great grandchildren Evangeline and Atticus Hansen, Gavin Flynn, Ellery and Wyatt Grimm and Eli Kinsler.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by a sister Shirley Flowers.
A memorial service will be held 11 am Sunday, October 23rd at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with the family greeting friends from 10 am Sunday until the service and 1 hour following the service. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
