Rosemary Schweikert Bartlett

Rosemary Schweikert Bartlett born May 27, 1929, passed away May 23, 2015. She was the daughter of Walter R. and Esther Meek Schweikert, both deceased.
 
Service will be at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home, Marietta, Ohio at 10:00 am on Friday, May 29, 2015, by Pastor Don Archer, Christ United Methodist Church with viewing for family and friends on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8. Burial with concluding service will be at Mound Cemetery, Marietta, Ohio.  Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
 
She is survived by her husband, Frank H. Bartlett and children:  Frank Alan Bartlett (Barbara), Mark Steven Bartlett (Kathy), Dean Joseph Bartlett and John William Bartlett (Kristi).  Grandchildren: Amy Koher (Rick), Anda Coiner (Mike), Matthew Bartlett (Sarah), Christa Holman (Shannon), Jenna Boley (Ryan), Adam Bartlett (Holli), Scott Bartlett, special friend Jennifer Haught, Andrew Bartlett (Natalie), Paula Hedrick (Mac), and Tom Bartlett (Amanda).  Great Grandchildren: Baylee Adams, Emma Coiner, Audrey Coiner, Will Coiner, Benjamin Bartlett, Abigal Rose Bartlett, Ayden Holman, Coen Holman, Kallie Rose Boley, Haylee Bartlett, Abbie Joy Bartlett, Easton Hunter Bartlett, Brody Wooten, Emily Hedrick, Megan Hedrick and Kya Marie Bartlett.
 
Survived by husband, Frank of 65 years,1st cousin, Sara Stephens (Kenneth), Mrs. James F. Schweikert (Diane), sister-in-law & Mrs. Donald Schaad (Barbara), sister-in-law,
and many numerous nieces and nephews.
 
She was preceded in death by her brother James F. Schweikert, parents, Walter and Esther Meek Schweikert and her inlaws, Leroy and Marie Spies Bartlett.
 
Rosemary graduated from Marietta High School in 1947, then was employed in the office at Marietta Memorial Hospital and later worked for 20 years at what is now Chase Bank and retired in 1991 from PNC.  In high school she was a member of National Honor Society, Book Club, Glee Club and Choir. She also was a past member of the Girls’ Board of the Betsey Mills Club and The Woman’s Home board. Rosemary loved attending meetings of bank retirees and with friends from Ohio Child Conservation League (Chi Chapter) which she was a charter member of for 50 plus years. She was a member of the Methodist faith since 1942 and presently a member of Christ United Methodist Church.  Rosemary kept in touch with friends from the first grade, loved to write notes and send greeting cards to others, talking to friends and family on the phone, and especially enjoyed reading books.  
 
She said, “The highlight of her life has been eating out and taking rides with her best friend and husband Frank.”
