Ruth M. Oliver
Ruth M. Oliver, 98, of Marietta passed away at 1:05 am Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at Marietta Center. She was born May 16, 1916, in Washington County, Ohio, a daughter of Ora and Norma Slobohm Erbse.
Ruth was employed in the Dietary Department at Marietta Memorial Hospital for over 40 years. She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church and loved to play Bingo.
On September 5, 1956, she married Edwin E. “Hap” Oliver who preceded her in death on November 6, 1970.
Ruth is survived by her sister Hilda Warren of Marietta and 2 nephews, Jeff and Jay Warren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother Edwin Erbse and brother-in-law Paul R. Warren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday (Aug. 29) at 10:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home wit burial following in Oak Grove Cemetery.
