Shirley Mae Erb
Shirley Mae Erb, 69, of Lower Salem passed away at 5:55 pm, Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born December 27, 1946, in Marietta, a daughter of Henry and Dorothy Carpenter Groves.
Shirley worked as home health care aide and was a homemaker. She was a member of Road Fork Baptist Church.
On August 29, 1969, she married Melvin Erb who survives with one daughter, Melissa (Robert) Buchanan of Lowell, 2 granddaughters, Taylor of West Palm Beach, FL, and Kasey of Lowell, her brother Rick (Debbie) Groves of Marietta, her sister Esther (Merle) Hall of Marietta and several nieces and nephews. Her parents and twin sister, Shelda Marie Kathary preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held on Monday (Sept.19) at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Ronald Calvert officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery near Harrietsville. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
