Thomas Joseph Thieman
Thomas Joseph Thieman, 78, of Waterford passed away at 8:20 pm on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at Grant Hospital in Columbus. He was born July 9, 1938, in Churchtown, OH, to Wilford “Bill” and Mary Huck Thieman.
He had been employed at B.F. Goodrich/RJF, was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and a member of St. John The Baptist Church and Knights of Columbus #4617 in Churchtown, Moose Lodge at Marietta and a member at Lakeside Golf Course.
On June 16, 1962, he married Patricia Starr who survives with 3 sons and 3 daughters: David Thieman and son Nicholas and his mother Rebecca; Donavan (Sandy) Thieman and children Kelly (Brian) Moore and Keith Thieman; Denise (Dee) Thieman; Darrell (Gloria) Thieman and children Derek (Kourtney) Thieman, Brooke and Bailey Thieman; Darla Schafer and children Kyle (Vanessa) Oliver, Father Guy Oliver, Jr., Seth Schafer and his father John; Darlene Thieman and children Taylor and Zach Thieman, Jevin Pugh and his father Dennis Pugh; and 4 great, great grandchildren: Tyson, Cole and Kaelyn Moore and Lennon Oliver. He is also survived by 1 brother and 2 sisters: James (Norma) Thieman, Betty Strahler, Nancy (Eldon) Miller; 2 sisters-in-law Mary Lou and Barbara Thieman, and canine companion “Miss Pearly.”
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Bernard “Buz” and Robert “Bobby” Thieman and brother-in-law Jerry Strahler and infant brother Richard.
Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday (Nov. 19) at 10:00 am at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Churchtown. Family will greet friends following the mass at the K of C Hall.
