Thomas Vandale
Thomas “Tom” Vandale, 90, of Marietta passed away at 10:00 pm, Friday, May 5, 2017, at his home. He was born March 3, 1927, in Spencer, WV, to the late John and Ola Henthorn Vandale.
Tom owned and operated his own salvage company. He enjoyed poker, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He married Martha Littleton who preceded him in death.
Tom is survived by 4 sons and 3 daughters: Margie Longfellow, Tommy (Cathy) Vandale, Daryl Vandale, Butch Vandale, Roy (Jane) Vandale, Kathy (Larry) Haught, Margie (Rob) Pugh all of Marietta; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 sisters and 2 brothers. He was preceded in death by his wife, 4 infant children and several brothers and sisters.
The family would like to extend their thanks to Amedis Hospice for their care of Tom.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (May 10) at 10:30am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial following in East Lawn Memorial Park. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
