Wanda Lee Sparks
Wanda Lee Sparks, 74, of Frazeysburg, Ohio, passed away, Saturday, February 25, 2017, at Genesis Health Care in Zanesville, OH. She was born March 9, 1942, in West Virginia to Elda Herman and Thelma Gretchen Cameron Burdette.
Wanda was a graduate of Williamstown High School and was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with family, scrapbooking, sewing, working in the yard and fishing with grandchildren.
On February 26, 1962, she married Roy Gene Sparks who preceded her in death on January 29, 2012. She is survived by 5 children: Gretchen (Steve) DeFrank, Jacinda (Robert) Koski, Roy Gregory (Jody) Sparks, Stevan (Tahana) Sparks, Stephanie (Chris) Heaven, 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Two brothers, Larry Burdette of Williamstown and Harold Burdette of Vienna also survive.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy, parents and brothers; Ralph, Bucky and Paul Burdette.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (Mar. 1) at 2:00 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial following in Mount Pleasant (Burnt Hill) Cemetery. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday after 4:00 pm. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
