William H. Goodman, Jr.

William H. Goodman, Jr. 76, of Marietta passed away at 5:55pm, Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at his home.

He was born September 30, 1939, in McConnelsville, a son of William H. Goodman, Sr. and Nancy M. Morgan Goodman. Bill was employed by the City of Marietta Water Treatment Plant.

On December 1, 1963, he married Hilda Clatterbuck who survives with one daughter and two sons: Rhonda Martin, George W. (Kris) Goodman and James A. (Lori Ann) Goodman all of Marietta; 6 grandchildren: Randy Davis, Amanda Davis, Brittany Martin, Alex and Carl Goodman, Corey Goodman; and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother John Goodman.

Funeral services will be held on Friday (Jan. 8) at 1:00pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Mayor Joe Matthews officiating. Burial will follow in Tunnel Cemetery with full military services. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4:00pm on Thursday.
