William Jackson Hoalcraft

William Jackson Hoalcraft passed away on November 9, 2016 at the Grant Medical Center in Columbus, OH.

William was born on July 20, 1969 in Marietta, OH.  He was preceded in death by his mother and father Betty Elizabeth and Emmett Jackson Hoalcraft.  William (Bill) is survived by his friends and extended family.  He had attended The First Unitarian Church in Marietta.  Bill was an organ donor fitting to his life long generous spirit of giving, especially to his friends.  Unfortunately his benevolent generosity was taken advantage of at times.

Bill lived his entire life in Marietta.  In his younger years he enjoyed fun times with his cousins, listening to music, picture painting, and watching videos.  In most recent times his neighbors came to know him as “Little Bill.”  He was quick to smile and cherished his friends.  Bill continued to love music, had a beautiful voice and could sometimes really “rock out.”  It was a sight to behold the joy on his face when he sang.”  Bill’s precious and most treasured possessions were his cherished memorial collection of wall hangings of his Mom and Dad and other special memorabilia.  He made every effort to place his creation just right in his home.  It was his way of keeping them ever near.  When Bill sent correspondence he would often say “I bring this letter to a close, and seal it with a rose.”  One of his greatest comforts later in life was his little dog CoCo who you could find walking close by his side.  Early on, Bill made sure that CoCo would receive the best of care by requesting that his dear friends Janet and PJ adopt his very special canine companion in case he no longer could provide for him.  With a heavy heart his faithful friends Janet and PJ are graciously keeping their word to provide a loving home for CoCo.

Bill was quite the worrier and experienced burdens in life that at times were nearly too heavy for him to bear.  May Bill’s new journey be guided with love, to a place of quiet rest and everlasting peace.

A warm invitation is extended to observe visiting hours at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon, November 13, from 2-4 P.M. followed with a farewell service.  Bill requested to be laid to rest beside his Mom and Dad at The Tunnel Cemetery in Tunnel, OH.  Interment will not be observed at this time.  Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
