Charles Edward Schob, Sr
Charles Edward Schob, Sr., 77, of Marietta passed away at 7:02 pm, Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born November 28, 1942, in Marietta a son of Cecil Edward and Virginia Mae Sauer Schob.
Chuck was an auto mechanic all his life. He owned and operated the Amoco Service Station on Harmar Hill for 13 years. He moved his business, Chuck Schob Auto Repair, to the west side and was open for 38 years. He was a member of Jaycees, Moose Lodge, where he was past Governor and Trustee. He also was a former Trustee with the Elks Club. He attended Gilman Avenue United Methodist Church.
On August 18, 1961, he married Donna Brookover who survives with one son and one daughter, Charles Edward “Chico” (Pam) Schob of Marietta and Donna Charlene (John) Zitz of Las Vegas; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and several brothers and sisters. His parents preceded him in death.
