Clifford D. Allen
Clifford D. Allen, 74, of Marietta formerly of Murrysville, PA, passed away at 10:45 am on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at The Arbors after a 10-year battle with dementia ultimately succumbing to cancer. He was born on January 28, 1939, in Wilkinsburg, PA, to Ray and Gladys Riddle Allen.
He was a 1957 graduate of Franklin Regional High School, retired as a Maintenance Mechanic from Westinghouse Air Brake Company, was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Murrysville, PA, Sardis Volunteer Fire Department of Sardis, PA, Murrysville Medic I in Murrysville, PA serving as a volunteer paramedic, Crowfoot Rod & Gun Club, and the U.S. Army Reserves. He was most recently a member Gilman United Methodist Church of Marietta.
On August 16, 1969, he married Judith Roberts who survives with 1 daughter, Renee (Ben) Caslow of Marietta, 2 granddaughters, Maureen and Lydia Caslow. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (Feb. 6) at 10:30 am at Gilman United Methodist Church with Reverend Diann O’Bryant officiating. Cremains will be entombed at later date at East Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home on Tuesday after 2:00pm with family present from 2-4 & 6-8.
