Dale L. Nixon
Dale L. Nixon, 96, of Marietta passed away at 5:30am, Saturday, April 13, 2019, at Belpre Landings in Belpre. He was born on August 29, 1922, in Lowell a son of Harry and Erma Nixon.
Dale was a U. S. Army veteran of WWII and a member of the Methodist Church. He had been employed at Marietta Dental Lab.
On March 1, 1942, he married Chleo B. Oliver who preceded him in death on October 27, 2015. Dale is survived by daughters: Susan Smith of Malta, Bonnie Mather of Williamstown, Pamela Sims (Gregory) of Boaz and Trilla Williams of Marietta; 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
His parents, wife and grandson Ritchie Smith preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (April 17) at 1:00 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Kapple officiating. Interment will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park with full military honors. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8.
