Dewey Rose
Dewey Rose, 79, of Vincent passed away on Friday, May 8, 2020, at his home. He was born June 8, 1940, in Bluefield, WV, a son of Elbert and Myrtle Rose.
Dewey had served in the U. S. Army and was a member of the Lowell Masonic Lodge 436. He retired after 31 years as quality control inspector for General Motors. He enjoyed fishing and especially loved hunting.
He married Evelyn Joan Dentmon Rose who survives with their son Scott (Patricia) Rose; grandchildren: Moriah Wells, Alyssa Rose, Austin Rose and D. L. Rose II; brothers: Ray Rose, Olie Rose and Jerry Rose; sisters: Shirley Rose, Marta Rose, Jean Rose and Rosie Hurt.
He was preceded in death by brothers, James and Lawrence Rose.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (May 13) at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial following in Veto Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
