Earl C. Adams

Earl C. Adams, 91, of Fleming went to join his wife, Avis, at 6:00 am on Wednesday, May 02, 2018, surrounded by his family. He was born August 25, 1926, in Porto Rico, WV, a son of Earl Victor Adams and Ada Sutton Adams.

Earl retired from Crescent Supply in 1987. He was a member of Warren Chapel United Methodist Church, a member of VFW Post 5108 and was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving in the Pacific Theatre during WWII.

On December 20, 1949, he married Avis Dowler who preceded him in death on July 26, 2015. He is survived by 3 sons and 2 daughters: Linda (John) Collins of Fleming, Carol (Dan) Radabaugh of Marietta, Randy (Teresa) Adams of Fleming, Mike (Denna) Adams of Marietta, Ron (fiancé Laura Polk) Adams of Laurenberg, NC; 17 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren. He also survived by 3 brothers and 1 sister: Elvin Adams of Vincent, Erroll Adams of Sun City, FL, Bobby Adams of Florida and Donna Patterson of Fleming and several nieces and nephews.

In addition of his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by 5 brothers: Harold, Delmar, Gene, Leroy and Larry Adams and his sister Roselee Knotts.

Funeral service will be held on Friday (May 4) at 10:30 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with interment following in Warren Chapel Cemetery with military honors.
