Frank R. Corkran

Frank R. Corkran, 60, of Watts Township, Perry County, passed away on Saturday February 15, 2020 at UPMC West Shore Hospital in Mechanicsburg, PA.

Born October 6, 1959, in Houston, Texas, he was a son of the late Fred W. and C. Jean (Powell) Corkran. In 1982, Frank earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Ohio Northern University.

Frank had been employed by as an Engineer by TE Connectivity Ltd., Middletown, last working in September 2019. Prior to that, he had worked with AMP, Inc. and General Dynamics. A car enthusiast and collector of Mustangs, Frank was a member of the Mustang Club of Central Pennsylvania. He was also a race driver and instructor with the National Auto Sport Association (NASA). Possessing an adventurous and spirited nature, Frank enjoyed flying lessons, listening to the Blues and caring for his pet dogs over the years.

Frank is survived by his sisters, Michelle Perez, of Marietta, OH, Rebecca Fedak, of Elyria, OH and Claudia Saling, of Vincent, OH. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, including Jennifer Newbrough and Moriah Scarlett Wells, and numerous great nieces and great nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Fred W. Corkran III and Michael A. Corkran, and a sister, Christine Whiel.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Wednesday March 11th at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial to follow in East Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 to 1 on Wednesday. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
