Gwendolyn Ruth “Sue” Barnhart

Gwendolyn Ruth (Sue) Barnhart, 83, of Marietta passed away on Friday, May 10, 2019, at Heartland of Marietta.

She was born February 8, 1936, to James T. McGuire and Gwendolyn R. Hoselton McGuire. She was a lifelong resident of Marietta. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah S. Friend (Ronald) of Marietta and her son, George A. Barnhart of Waverly, WV, as well as her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Barnhart, son Barney J. Barnhart, son James R. Barnhart as well as her parents and her brothers and sisters: Max McGuire, Jay McGuire, James McGuire, Orville McGuire, Mary Helen Wright, Loleta McKenna and Betty Lou Wright.

She will be cremated and there will be no services at this time. McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements and messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
