Harry Ellis Ice

Harry Ellis Ice, 91, of Marietta passed away on Monday, April 22, 2019, at Marietta Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born February 15, 1928, in Athens County, Ohio, to Logan J. and Plessie Simmons Ice.

Harry was retired from M & O Dredging Company of Pittsburgh, PA. He was a member of the IUOE #132.

On October 29, 1973, he married Garravine Wheeler who survives with one son and one daughter: Eric L. Ice of Marietta and Jennifer M. (Philip Tice) Ice of Parkersburg; 3 grandchildren: Levi and Canyon Ice of Huber Heights, Ohio and Naomi Tice of Parkersburg, WV. He is also survived by 4 sisters: Norma Cain, Betty McIntire, Bonnie Sams and JoAnn Reed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Friday (April 26) at 1:00 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with interment following in Lund Cemetery. Family will greet friends on Thursday evening from 6 until 9. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
